GLEN COLLINS
Glen's first shop, which he took over from his uncle William H. Luff, was in London's White City. His enviable clientele include such players as Yehudi Menuhin, Leland Chen, Richard Layton and Dmitri Sitkovetsky. In the tradition of making for Royalty he has made a cello for King Charles and a baby violin for Prince William.
For 22 years Glen was a lecturer at the Newark School of Violin Making where he influenced a whole generation of luthiers from all over the world.
He specializes in Guarneri del Gesù copies.
SUSANNA SILLBERG COLLINS
Susanna studied violinmaking in Cremona International Violinmaking School and Newark School of Violinmaking where she graduated and later returned to teach.
She plays the violin and viola which helps her understanding of player's needs of sound quality and playability.
Her latest interest is making light weight carbon graphite cork handled conducting batons.
KEITH COLLINS
ETHAN COOK
Keith is our North American connection who joins us periodically. In his younger years he was employed by London firms Edward Withers and W.E.Hill & Sons.
Keith being Glen's brother, William Luff was also his uncle and teacher.
Ethan is the youngest addition to the team. He has a keen eye for detail in woodwork and has a vast knowledge of musical instruments, MMus in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from King's College London, Grade 8 violin and percussion, and plays regularly with Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra.
